Broom is a continuation of the great jazz guitar lineage. In a career spanning more than three decades, beginning as an elite sideman with the likes of Sonny Rollins, Stanley Turrentine, and Dr. John, and progressed into three consecutive DownBeat Critics Poll nods as one of the world’s top Jazz guitarists, Bobby Broom has developed a sound that is clear, yet complex; familiar and always exciting. Harlem Born, NYC, raised, Bobby Broom has been heralded as “one of the most musical guitarists of our time.” playing Carnegie Hall with Sonny Rollins and Donald Byrd at age 16, Broom recorded his debut as a leader, Clean Sweep for GRP Records at age 20. He’s played with Kenny Burrell, Hugh Masakela, Stanley Turrentine, Charles Earland, Miles Davis, Kenny Garrett and Dr. John, among others.
